I've decided that I hate people who, when you mention how much you'd love to have a pool, say, "You don't want one. It's a lot of work, all the maintenance and cleaning." I hope you're not this sort of person. It's summer. It's hot. If someone wants to fantasize about having a pool, maybe you should shut the fuck up and let them have their fantasy.
Yesterday, I bought a hardcover book at Big Lots for 50 cents. I love cheap books. That purchase is probably the highlight of my weekend. Yes, my life has become very sad lately.
Somehow my children convinced me to get another kitten. Here she is. Her name is Lucy. She's white with a teeny, tiny smudge of black fur on her head. She's ridiculously adorable. Naturally, Shadow hates her guts.
When it's storming outside like it is now, it's the perfect time to curl up and watch a movie on television. Too bad the stupid satellite always picks that time to crap out.
