I was working on something for today's blog post, but I just can't. It seems ridiculous.
I can't stop thinking about the parents of these children at Sandy Hook Elementary School. I keep picturing them sending their children off to school on this sunny Friday morning in Connecticut. They probably sent them off with hugs and kisses or maybe a reminder to turn in homework or make their lunches.
And they had no idea that, with all the ridiculous talk about the world ending, it was actually going to happen. Everything they knew to be true about their world would come to a violent and horrific end.
I really want to go get my children from school and hold them tight.
"Close your eyes and hold hands."
That's what they told the lines of children being led out of the school in Connecticut.
Maybe that's what all of us need to do.
But I honestly don't know.
I just don't know.
