I watched Are You There, Chelsea? once and it was awful.
Someone should slap me. Hard. |
Kate loves Glee, so I watch it with her but I really don't like it. It's poorly written, the plot contrivances are irritating in the extreme, and I feel a great deal of secondhand embarrassment whenever someone breaks into song. And Lea Michele's singing face annoys me.
But here's what I probably hate the most:
I hate bitchy bride shows like Bridezillas. Why the hell are we celebrating women who act like assholes? Honey, it is not your month or your week. It's A DAY. And, hell, it's not even just YOUR day. Where did this idea come from? You are not a freaking princess. The whole day isn't supposed to be about you and your overly expensive dress and everyone making sure everything is perfect for you. The day is supposed to be for you AND your groom - whom you love, right? - to say your vows in front of the family and friends you also love. But WHERE is the love, you selfish twit?
I don't really watch these shows, but I've seen enough to know that an enormous number of bitches have somehow convinced an enormous number of men to marry them. I don't really understand that at all. I wish someone could explain that to me.
