Jacob and I had a movie viewing marathon last night. Here's your VCC review of each:
"Hey look, Mom, it's your boyfriend Tom Hiddleston!" - Jacob.Thor is entertaining. It's not great (it's nowhere near as good as The Avengers), but it's certainly good enough for a Friday night on the sofa. (It's available on Netflix.) And, of course, Tom Hiddleston as Loki was my favorite part.
Watching this movie is like reading a John Grisham novel. It's a satisfactory experience, but there's nothing great about it. Afterward, you'll probably even forget you watched it. While we watched it, I was also reading The Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks and Jacob was playing Minecraft.
This one you definitely will not forget after you've watched it. It is a viewing experience. David Hyde Pierce is excellent as the dinner party host who must entertain an unexpected guest. Clayne Crawford as the "guest" has a fantastic sexy, bad boy, Ray Liotta thing going on. (In case you didn't know, I'm a huge Ray Liotta fan. His laugh is one of my favorite things ever.)
Jacob and I were laughing out loud at several parts and, at other times, saying to one another, "This movie is so messed up!" It's not perfect - near the end it strains believability a bit too much - but you won't care. Thanks to BFF Tina for recommending it.
Jacob left the room fifteen minutes in.
Natalie Portman is adorable. I loved all her clothes. (Listen, that's as deep as this sort of movie goes.) Viewing tip: Pretend Ashton Kutcher is someone other than Ashton Kutcher.
