Now that we're men, we have facial hair. Now that we're men, I changed my underwear. |
Today was an excellent day. It's the first day of spring break so we all slept late. But, once we were up, the day was full of activity. Some egg scrambling, a little bit of laundry, some crafting (Kate decoupaged a box with pictures of Hobbes the tiger and Christopher's platypus art), some trampoline jumping.
I did yoga this morning and Piloxing this evening. I also cleaned off the grill, wiped down the patio chairs, and cleaned off the outdoor dining table and chairs. It's official. The arrival of spring is like my personal methamphetamine (except, thankfully, my teeth won't fall out).
On top of all that, Jacob and I learned how to jump start a car.
My VW Passat has been sitting in the garage for about 7 months with a dead battery. During the cold weather months, I just couldn't bring myself to give a damn about it. But today I sat behind the wheel while Jacob pushed it out so we could park it next to the Audi.
We Googled "how to jump start a car." The first site to come up was called The Art of Manliness.
After we got the car running again, Jacob turned to me and said, "Congratulations on becoming more manly."
Then we did our signature high-five, complete with exploding bombs, and we both grew mustaches.
It was quite a happy day.
Around the :48 second mark, I said "WHAT are they doing?" Jacob said, "You just ruined my childhood!"
